普利茅斯大学（Plymouth University）是英国英格兰西南部规模最大的大学，于1862年创立。在校生人数超过三万，从人数上来讲位于全英第九位（算入英国公开大学）。
2011年6月改现名，但在学历证书上仍使用University of Plymouth。
普利茅斯大学于2008年大学获选为统计学教育中心，其知名的课程有: 海洋商学、海洋工程、海洋生物学、海洋环境科学。此外，医学相关科系亦十分出名，拥有卓越的临床教育机会、以及世界级的研究项目，并与当地医院保持长期的合作关系，提供许多实习机会，其中最热门的是德瑞福特医院 (Derriford Hospital)，为欧洲区最具规模的医院之一，同时是德文郡与康瓦尔郡唯一一间拥有创伤中心的医院。
校内专业的保健部门相当热门，以独特的教学手法、知名的研究项目、创新的实习环境而闻名，学生可受益于知名的教师、学习专业的技巧，并鼓励学生们积极投入志工活动。学生每年的学术成果、以及满意度均有着极高的评价。部门中的儿童/成人教育、护理、助产士等课程均为学生毕业后可直接投入职场做准备。大学亦与艾希特大学合作，提供许多相关综合阶段性课程，在此教育业界享有极高的知名度。
普利茅斯大学的商学院提供扎实的基础教学，并经常邀请业界知名人士举办演讲、经验传承活动，同时与知名企业保持良好的合作关系，提供企业实习机会，增加学生毕业后的竞争能力。其法学部门于2013年的国内学生调查中获得94%的满意度。
人文与表演艺术部门则提供跨领域的主题教学，涵盖: 艺术史、舞蹈、创意写作、音乐，均由世界知名的专业表演艺术家们亲自授课，并进行跨领域的文化交流，同时激发学生的创作潜力。
